Simon Mumford – Consultant
Simon has acquired a wealth of experience in private client matters. He specialises in will drafting, tax planning and mitigation, the creation, management and alteration of trusts, powers of attorney, issues of mental capacity and applications to the Court of Protection. Throughout his professional career Simon has dealt with the administration of deceased estates (“probate”), including those requiring court applications or mediation. He also advises charities on constitutional issues.
Simon provides comprehensive, sophisticated and personal advice tailored to the individual needs of his clients. He has a relaxed and friendly manner, and is comfortable dealing with the most complex matters.
Simon qualified as a solicitor in 1981 and joined Wilmots from a City firm as a partner in 1992. He retired on 30th September 2021 but will remain working with Wilmots on a consultancy basis.
Simon is a Member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (and was for many years Chairman of the Gloucestershire and Wiltshire branch).
